Diving operations are simple and safe with a U-Boat Worx submarine. Whether it’s a wreck-diving operation in the Mediterranean or an exploration dive in the Arctic Sea, U-Boat Worx has the perfect private submarine for all occasions.
Diving from your yacht is made effortless and safe. The relatively small size, low weight and flexible (single or dual) lifting point design of the Super Yacht Subs make it possible to integrate a private submarine on more yachts than ever before.
Each U-Boat Worx submersible is delivered with a world-class pilot training course. The intuitive interface of our submersibles is easy for pilots to learn. Unique to the U-Boat Worx private submarines is passengers being able to navigate the submersible while under supervision of the pilot. The unique control device – the MANTA Controller – can simply be handed over by the pilot to his guests for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to personally steer a submarine.
To experience the underwater world in the optimal way, one of U-Boat Worx’ design priorities has always been to offer the clearest possible view. To ensure this, our remarkably clear fully acrylic pressure hull has been positioned at the front of the submersible, providing an unobstructed view in every direction, unimpeded by ballast tanks, batteries and other components.
At U-Boat Worx every submarine is built with safety as the primary consideration, and our reputation for reliability has been established by always adhering to our meticulous “safety first” regime. Designed, built and rigorously tested to the highest standards, the submersibles are all certified by leading classification organisation, DNV. To assure complete safety, in-house experts at U-Boat Worx have developed unique features while our safety testing programmes ensure that each and every component is faultlessly reliable. Each submarine’s hull is individually pressurised to a test depth that greatly exceeds the pressure experienced at its certified maximum operating depth.
Each U-Boat Worx submarine is designed to provide unmatched comfort, space and style. All of our submarines have maximum legroom and headroom while keeping overall weight and size to a minimum. This combination delivers the ultimate diving experience. Efficient air-conditioning and surround sound music form part of the fine detailing, together with the optimum ergo dynamics to facilitate ease of boarding and disembarking. In keeping with the ultra-high standards found in superyachts, our submersibles boast the most luxurious of fit-outs crafted by legendary Dutch workmanship.

Meet Shinkai, the world’s first superyacht designed around a submersible. When the owner of the 54.9-meter explorer placed his order with Feadship, he already had a new U-Boat Worx C-Researcher 3 waiting to be accommodated. With ocean exploration at the forefront of the owner’s mind, Shinkai – meaning ‘Deep Sea’ in Japanese – sets a new bar for bespoke, purpose-built, sub-orientated design.
