UWEP

360 DEGREE OVERVIEW

The UWEP (Under Water Entertainment Platform) presents a new class of exceptionally spacious privately-operated entertainment submarines that can carry up to 120 guests (excluding crew and staff) in a fully conditioned environment to a depth of 150 meters.

The UWEP offers over 150 m2 (1,600 sq. ft.) of configurable venue space that can be tailored to the operator’s requirements.

A Michelin-star underwater restaurant, one-of-a-kind casino, unique conference location, world’s most exclusive wedding venue; the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

Design

Fixed Amenities

The UWEP is equipped with fixed amenities like five toilets, a reception area, and a galley that can offer five-star hospitality. Even the best chefs in the world cannot operate without the right tools.

150 m2 configurable floorspace

The UWEP offers over 150 m2 (1,600 sq. ft.) of configurable venue space that can be tailored to the operator’s requirements. Power delivery

A submarine of this magnitude needs abundant power supply to operate. The 1,200 kWh power supply is more than capable of delivering thrust for the UWEP, while having ample power for life support systems, lights and onboard entertainment features.

Bar

The bar is the centrepiece of the UWEP experience.

Large access hatch

The two large 2-meter diameter hatches allow access to both the bow and the stern of the submarine.

Bridge

The bridge is a separate room in the bow of the UWEP .

Control and management of systems is done through a fly-by-wire technology.

The UWEP also has a state-of-the-art navigation system including sonar and 360-degree cameras.

VIP Lounge

The VIP lounge makes an extraordinary experience even more special with a pole position view.

Maximum Depth Protection (MDP)

The MDP feature prevents the pilot from diving deeper than the submarine’s maximum operating depth. In case the submersible should ever find itself too deep, this safety feature will automatically raise the sub until it is once again within its certified depth.

Deadman's switch (DMS)

This DMS safety system will automatically resurface the submersible in the unlikely event that the pilot becomes incapable of controlling it. The pilot needs to acknowledge the DMS every 10 minutes, otherwise it will initiate the ascent procedure.

Drop Weight

This weight can be manually released from within the submersible to increase the buoyancy of the submarine and return it to the surface.

Pinger

A Pinger gives out a pulse that can be received on the surface. With the receiver unit, you can pinpoint at all times the exact position of the submarine when submerged.

DNV Certification

Certification by the world-leading classification society, DNV, requires each individual submersible to meet stringent and extensive rules and regulations, as well as pass a range of rigorous test and trials from design to final delivery. Overseen by independent surveyors, this is an independent verification of the safety of every U-Boat Worx submersible.
