New model launches and market demands lead to redefined model ranges.

U-Boat Worx’ range of acclaimed submersibles has received an update to provide future clients with the best choice of submarines for an extended variety of applications.

In September 2014 U-Boat Worx unveiled the Super Yacht Sub 3 model series, a compact and light-weight submarine especially designed for super yachts. The Super Yacht Sub 3 features the best unobstructed view for its occupants, and boasts superior performance at the surface and underwater.

The HiPer Sub soon followed the launch of the Super Yacht Sub 3, and is to meet the market demand for certified high-performance submersibles. This sub serves a new market of submersibles, and the HP Sport Sub 2 fills the gap for those seeking spectacular performance and an unconstrained airplane-like experience.

The reorganization also brings simplifications to the award-winning C-Explorer series. The C-Explorers were initially available with various depth-ratings, and U-Boat Worx has now chosen to offer one depth-rating for each model. The C-Explorer 2 will now be available for 100 meters, the C-Explorer 3 for 300 meters and the C-Explorer 5 for 200 meters. The 600 meter and 1,000 meter C-Explorers will be replaced by the all-new C-Researcher. Advances in technology now make it possible to offer this light-weight fully acrylic research submersible with a depth capability of 1,700 meter that can fit inside a standard shipping container. The C-Researcher range will soon serve the upper echelon of the manned submersible market, whereas the C-Explorer series will continue to serve the high-end exploration market.

Additionally, two all-new 7- and 9-person models specially developed for the tourism and cruise ship market will be launched by the Dutch submersible manufacturer in the near future, but details are being kept under wraps for the time being.
